Arrival And Check-In

  • The airport terminal has a designated curb side pick-up and drop-off area (3 minute maximum) located south of the Departures entrance. The airport has designated the southern curb for those requiring an accessible short term drop-off or pick-up location. This area is clearly marked, and only available to those requiring a quick drop-off or pick-up location point.
  • The airport has designated accessible parking spaces in both the short and long-term parking lots. These spaces are located across from the terminal building and subject to regular parking fees.

Personal Assistance

  • All airlines operating through the Regina International Airport provide wheelchair services for those requiring assistance during their travels. Passengers are requested to notify their respective airline when this assistance is required.
  • Passengers who require assistance in boarding or de-planing are also requested to notify their respective airline to make their needs known.
  • Special assistance is also offered for passengers with small children or young children travelling alone, and seniors.
  • Passengers with special needs who wish to have a family member or friend escort/accompany them through to their departure gate should contact their respective airline. This escort pass is limited to one per passenger.

TTY Phones

  • TTY’s are available at most SaskTel kiosks throughout the terminal.

Wayfinding For People With Visual Impairments

  • The Regina International Airport worked with the Canadian transport industry to ensure its facilities are barrier-free.

Washrooms

  • Accessible washrooms are located throughout the terminal and are clearly marked by signage.
  • There is a Family Washroom located in the south end of the building and is the largest washroom facility in the building.
  • All washrooms are large enough to accommodate wheelchairs and come equipped with accessible stalls, lower sinks and angled mirrors.

Accessible Local Transportation Serving The Airport

  • The airport has designated an area for all passengers, including those with special needs, awaiting pick-up by taxi. This area is located just outside the Arrivals doors and is clearly marked by signage.
  • Taxi service is provided by Regina Cabs and Capital Cabs. If there is no cab available outside, passengers are asked to proceed to the Customer Services desk which is located near the bottom of the Arrivals escalator and a taxi coordinator will arrange for a taxi.
  • To ensure the cab companies can provide the best accessible service (i.e. wheelchairs), it is important that passengers with special needs contact Regina Cabs at (306) 543-3333 or Capital Cabs at (306) 791-2222 at least 24 hours in advance.
